Country singers Darryl Worley and Aaron Tippin headlined the Valentines For Veterans Salute To America’s Gold Star Families concert at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on Saturday night. The free show also also featured Lee Greenwood and Lucas Hoge.

Worley, who had a hit song with the 9/11 tribute “Have You Forgotten?,” said in advance of the show that it was a natural and easy fit for him and his music.

“My journeys overseas to the war zones, my family background, all the military-rich things that I come from, it’s been a joy for me (to play shows like these),” Worley said. “It’s not been a labor for me, it’s been a labor of love. I can not only relate to these people but maybe help them in some way and maybe help educate some of these other folks about what these men and women have been through and what their families have been subjected to.”
